MultiChoice Nigeria has launched a promotional campaign called “Open Time” that will automatically upgrade eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers to higher packages at no extra cost for the entire month of June.
The promotion started on June 1 and will run until June 30, 2026. It applies to new and existing customers who pay for or reconnect to select packages during the campaign period. Once payment is confirmed, the upgrade kicks in automatically. No calls, no applications, no additional fees.
The upgrades are straightforward. DStv Compact Plus and its Compact customers will be moved up to its Premium package, while DStv Confam subscribers will receive access to the Compact package. DStv Yanga customers will also be upgraded to its Confam package.
On the GOtv side, subscribers on GOtv Supa and GOtv Max will receive access to the GOtv Supa Plus package, while GOtv Jolli subscribers will be upgraded to GOtv Max.
The higher packages give subscribers access to a broader range of content spanning drama, sports, action, and children’s programming that would normally require a more expensive subscription.
There is one condition worth noting: the upgrade remains active only for as long as the customer’s account stays fully paid during the campaign period. If a subscription lapses and is not renewed before June 30, the upgrade benefit lapses with it. At the end of the promotion, all subscriptions automatically revert to their original packages regardless.

Subscribers can renew or activate their accounts through several channels. The DStv and GOtv websites are available, as are the mobile apps for each. USSD codes, banking channels, and payment points nationwide are also options for customers who prefer those routes.
For anyone already subscribed to one of the qualifying packages and paid up for June, the upgrade should already be active.
For those who have not yet renewed this month, paying now locks in the higher package for the remainder of June at the standard price of the original subscription.
