WFIS 2026 became the pivotal forum for policy, banking & fintech dialogue amid unprecedented technology waves in Vietnam

In the wake of a formidable fintech market that’s forecasted to reach $50.21  billion by 2030, Vietnam’s financial sector is undergoing rapid paradigm shifts. At present, the  country is witnessing one of the fastest rates of digital payment adoptions, mobile connectivity, and  fintech growth in the region. It comes as no surprise that rising investor confidence and increasing  consumer demand for faster, seamless financial services have taken the central role in the industry’s  transformation.

Yet the true measure of transformation lies in how institutions collectively scale innovation. As  governments and enterprises navigate this critical phase, collaborative platforms have become  indispensable in enabling industry stakeholders to exchange insights, forge partnerships, and lead  the next chapter of progress with confidence and clarity.

Paying heed, the World Financial Innovation Series (WFIS) returned on 19 – 20 May 2026 at the  Meliá Hanoi, convening at the intersection of policy, technology, and financial services, to examine  the new forces shaping Vietnam’s financial future.

Marking its fourth edition, the platform’s elite BFSI gathering delivered one of its most influential and  defining chapters yet. The Vietnam Banking Association (VNBA) returned as Strategic partner,  ensuring stronger alignment between policy direction and industry dialogue unfolding at the forum. Leading technology showcase from the front were reputed organisations like nCino, StreamCube  Technology, Audax, CleverTap, WSO2, HyperVerge, Yubico, Pega, AND Solutions, Viettel, Mambu,  Brankas, Gimasys, UZINFOCOM, Akkuro, Feitian, Wultra, Sumsub, Itnio Tech, M4 Bank, AppsFlyer,  Equix, Oz Forensics, Asseco, IGS Group Vietnam Company Limited (IGS), Freshworks, ABBYY, Clayfin,  Manipal Payment and Identity Solutions (MPi), TerraPay, Thought Machine, Go Capital Growth,  Beyondsoft and Surecomp.

WFIS’ impact was further amplified through comprehensive media coverage by VnEconomy,  promotional support from Vietnam Today (VTV), and a network of 20+ additional media partners,  reinforcing WFIS Vietnam’s position as one of the country’s leading BFSI platforms.

Over 500 senior professionals comprising banking leaders, regulators, fintech innovators and  microfinance experts gathered for two power-packed days of strategic conversations, incisive panel  sessions and keynote presentations that explored the future of digital banking transformation, AI driven financial services, cybersecurity resilience, data-led decision-making in modern banking  systems, and many more pressing priorities shaping the industry.

Of the many senior voices who led the plenary sessions with future-ready insights and seasoned  expertise, the most notable names included:

Kalidas Ghose, Chairman at UNOBank, who’d also taken to the stage, shared positive remarks about  his time at the event: “It’s been a wonderful experience coming to WFIS Vietnam. This year had  wonderful participants and exhibitors, and I’ve even managed to build a lead list for our new digital

bank. Coming to an event like this, you get to see different technologies and thought leadership from  partners and potential players who can add real value to your organization. The event gradually gave way to the WFIS Awards 2026, closing the event on a high note of acknowledgment for progress across the financial services ecosystem. Designed to recognise only the  most impactful, sustained contributions in the industry across 9 exclusive categories, the awards  segment served as the natural conclusion to two days of game-changing dialogue, cross-sector  collaboration, and industry engagement. All in all, the two-day spectacle established a shared sense  of camaraderie across the industry, and a long-standing impact for continued progress.
