Prime Expands Fourth of July Fuel Savings

Amazon said Prime members can save $0.50 per gallon during the Fourth of July weekend. The offer runs from July 2 to July 5 at more than 7,500 participating U.S. locations. The network includes bp, Amoco, ampm, and Thorntons stations.

The fuel deal adds to Prime’s existing $0.10-per-gallon savings throughout the year. Members can access the benefit by linking Prime with bp’s earnify loyalty account. Amazon Family households can also double savings across two separate fuel transactions.

The timing gives Amazon a direct role in holiday travel spending. Millions of Americans usually travel by road during the Fourth of July period. Therefore, the fuel discount supports Prime’s broader push to tie membership value to daily household costs.

Amazon Adds Grocery Deals for Summer Spending

Amazon also introduced grocery savings across barbecue and party items for Prime members. The company listed grilling meats under $10, summer produce under $4, and snacks starting at $2. These offers target shoppers preparing for holiday gatherings and summer meals.

Prime members in eligible areas can also use Same-Day Delivery for grocery orders above $25. Amazon said the service now reaches more than 2,300 cities and towns. The service includes fresh groceries, pantry goods, household items, electronics, and books.

Whole Foods Market also added seasonal discounts for Prime members from July 1 to July 7. The offers include 50% off ice cream and frozen treats from selected brands. As a result, Amazon combines online grocery convenience with in-store food savings.

Prime Access Gets Monthly Grocery Credits

Amazon added a separate grocery credit for Prime Access members from July through September. Eligible members will receive $5 each month on qualifying grocery orders of $25 or more. The benefit can reach $15 in total savings across the summer period.

Prime Access serves eligible government assistance recipients and income-verified customers. The program offers the full Prime service at more than 50% below the monthly price. Therefore, the new credit strengthens Amazon’s value message for cost-sensitive households.

Amazon said the credit applies to eligible everyday grocery items on Amazon.com. These include breakfast products, baby food, pantry staples, snacks, beverages, and other essentials. The program also supports SNAP payments and Summer EBT use where available.
