Total Wireless, a no-contract wireless service provider powered by Verizon’s 5G network, announced on Thursday an official partnership with Western Union to offer free monthly money transfers to customers on select plans. The move makes Total Wireless the first U.S. carrier to include a money transfer benefit in its phone plans, marking a significant shift in how telecommunications companies address the financial realities of their customers.

Starting immediately, customers with Total Wireless MAX 5G BYO, MAX 5G, and ALL ACCESS plans will receive one free money transfer per month, covering the transaction fee. The benefit allows users to send funds to over 200 countries and territories through Western Union’s global network, which includes more than 360,000 payout locations, bank accounts, digital wallets, and cards. The plans range from $25 per month for the MAX 5G BYO plan to $60 per month for the ALL ACCESS plan with auto-pay, and include unlimited 5G data, unlimited hotspot, and unlimited international calling and texting to over 200 countries, backed by a five-year price guarantee.

According to Total Wireless, millions of people in the United States send money abroad each year, averaging more than 12 transactions annually. By eliminating the transaction fee, the benefit aims to help families save money and ensure every dollar goes further. “Total Wireless was built on the belief that a good wireless plan should do more for its customers,” said David Kim, president of Verizon Value. “Incorporating a Western Union money transfer into our plans reflects something we deeply believe: no one should have to choose between staying connected and caring for their loved ones.”

The partnership goes beyond the plan benefit, with Western Union co-promoting Total Wireless through its customer communication channels, including the Western Union app, email, social media, and in-store digital displays. Jesse Mory, senior vice president of Strategic Partnerships at Western Union, emphasized the significance of the collaboration: “For generations, Western Union has helped people move money across borders because we understand what each transfer represents: not just dollars, but our mission to make financial services accessible to everyone.”

The announcement highlights a growing trend of telecom companies integrating financial services into their offerings, particularly for underserved communities that rely on affordable connectivity and cross-border money transfers. Total Wireless, part of Verizon’s prepaid brand portfolio, operates 2,000 exclusive stores nationwide and has positioned itself as a value-oriented carrier. The inclusion of money transfers could set a precedent for other carriers to follow, potentially reshaping the competitive landscape of prepaid wireless services.

For customers, the benefit is accessible online at westernunion.com or through the Western Union app. Total Wireless plans are available at its stores and online. As Kim noted, “We designed these plans to ensure that, at least once a month, it’s on us.”

The post Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-0 start. Getty Images The Green Bay Packers are, once again, one of the NFL’s better teams. The Cleveland Browns are, once again, one of the league’s doormats. It’s why unbeaten Green Bay (2-0) is a 8-point favorite at winless Cleveland (0-2) Sunday according to betmgm.com. The money line is also Green Bay -500. Most expect this to be a Packers’ rout, and it very well could be. But Green Bay knows taking anyone in this league for granted can prove costly. “I think if you look at their roster, the paper, who they have on that team, what they can do, they got a lot of talent and things can turn around quickly for them,” Packers safety Xavier McKinney said. “We just got to kind of keep that in mind and know we not just walking into something and they just going to lay down. That’s not what they going to do.” The Browns certainly haven’t laid down on defense. Far from. Cleveland is allowing an NFL-best 191.5 yards per game. The Browns gave up 141 yards to Cincinnati in Week 1, including just seven in the second half, but still lost, 17-16. Cleveland has given up an NFL-best 45.5 rushing yards per game and just 2.1 rushing yards per attempt. “The biggest thing is our defensive line is much, much improved over last year and I think we’ve got back to our personality,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said recently. “When we play our best, our D-line leads us there as our engine.” The Browns rank third in the league in passing defense, allowing just 146.0 yards per game. Cleveland has also gone 30 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL.…
