Onlookers mock Trump's upcoming 'rally to end all rallies': 'Who the hell is interested?'

Political analysts and observers mocked President Donald Trump on Thursday after he announced plans to host a rally in Washington, D.C., on June 24.

"A Rally to end all Rallies!" Trump wrote on Truth Social. "We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home. All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played, the same Music you have listened to for years! We will have the fabulous Lee Greenwood introducing me with what has turned out to be one of the Greatest Hits of All Time, GOD BLESS THE U.S.A., and the amazing Christopher Macchio, who will sing Nessun Dorma, Hallelujah, Ave Maria, God Bless America, and others — Not since the legendary Luciano Pavarotti has there been such a voice!"

Trump's rally announcement came as multiple musical artists backed out of performing at his "Great American State Fair" event. The artists claimed they had been invited to a nonpartisan event, only to find out later that the Trump administration was organizing it.

Analysts and observers reacted to the announcement on social media.

"Sounds like a good day to avoid DC," Randy Schulman, publisher of Metro Weekly, posted on X.

"Who the hell is interested?" Donald Blais Jr., a former city councilor in Palmer, Massachusetts, posted on X.

"Yeah, he's definitely dying," Michael McSweeney, an editor and author, posted on X.

"Aka: no one wanted to come sing in my hyper-partisan concert, so I will go yap my hyper-partisan rhetoric to remind everyone what a horrible mistake they made in the 2024 POTUS election," Brian Mistrot, founder of No Bull Media Group, posted on X.

"His people booked the musical acts with no talent and big fees," writer Michael Freeman posted on X.
