  • EXEED, Chery’s premium brand, will use NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion for L3/L4 autonomous driving vehicles.
  • The deal covers three areas: advanced driving assistance, cockpit AI, and robotics.

NVIDIA’s automotive push got another boost on Tuesday. Chery, the Chinese automaker and parent of premium brand EXEED, announced a global strategic partnership with NVIDIA during Auto China 2026 and the EXEED International Business Summit in Wuhu, Anhui, China.

NVDA was trading up 0.61% at the time of the announcement.

The deal covers three core areas: advanced driving assistance systems, cockpit AI, and robotics. It’s a broad mandate, and EXEED is set to be one of the first brands to deploy the technology at scale.

On the autonomous driving side, EXEED will build its L3 and L4 vehicles on NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion platform. That platform combines the DRIVE AGX Thor compute unit, a validated sensor suite, and NVIDIA’s autonomous driving software into a single production-ready system.

EXEED will also use NVIDIA Alpamayo and NVIDIA Cosmos toolchains to build out its own proprietary autonomous driving software stack. The company says this supports a dual approach — in-house development alongside open innovation.

Cockpit AI Gets a Generative Upgrade

Inside the cabin, EXEED plans to use NVIDIA DRIVE to build what it describes as next-generation cockpit experiences. The focus is on generative AI features: natural emotional interaction, context awareness, and personalized services.

That’s a familiar pitch in the EV space right now, but EXEED is backing it with NVIDIA’s infrastructure rather than building from scratch.

From Cars to Robots

The partnership doesn’t stop at vehicles. Through its EXEED×AiMOGA unit, the company will use NVIDIA Jetson, Isaac Sim, and the Isaac GR00T humanoid robot development platform to push into embodied intelligence — covering humanoid robots and other intelligent robot platforms.

Chery framed the deal as central to its broader AI strategy, referencing goals laid out at its 2026 AI Night event. EXEED is positioned as the lead brand in that push, taking on the role of first mover for Chery’s intelligent technology rollout.

NVIDIA’s automotive division has been steadily adding partners across global markets. The DRIVE Hyperion platform has become a go-to reference architecture for carmakers targeting higher levels of vehicle automation.

NVDA was up 0.61% on the day the partnership was announced.
