How do you buy the Anthropic IPO? You request ANT shares at the offer price through a broker that receives part of the deal, confirm the order after pricing, and accept that you may get fewer shares than you asked for, or none.

As of November 5, 2026, Anthropic (ANT) hasn't priced its shares or named its retail brokers.

According to Bloomberg, 15% to 20% of the shares could go to individual investors.
Outside the US, several countries get local offerings; elsewhere, eligible users in supported regions can consider MEXC Pre-IPO Launchpad, which offers mirror credits, not shares.

Key Takeaways
  • Anthropic's S-1, filed October 26, 2026, applies to list ANT on Nasdaq, and Amendment No. 1 of November 2 still leaves the price, size and date blank.
  • IPO-price shares come only through brokers that get an allocation, and none was confirmed as of November 5, 2026.
  • Bloomberg reports that 15% to 20% of the shares could go to retail investors, with JPMorgan leading US retail sales and Citigroup coordinating international retail sales.
  • Robinhood, Fidelity, Schwab and SoFi each run IPO programs with their own rules; Robinhood says it is competing for an allocation, none has a confirmed one, and none guarantees shares.
  • The S-1 lists public offerings in Australia, Canada, certain EEA countries, Japan, Switzerland and the UK.
  • MEXC Pre-IPO Launchpad offers eligible users in supported regions mirror credits, not shares.

Can Retail Investors Buy Anthropic IPO Shares?

Yes, retail investors should be able to request Anthropic IPO shares through a broker that gets part of the deal, but they could receive all, some or none of what they ask for.
A Bloomberg report on October 28 said Anthropic picked JPMorgan to lead its US retail offering, which could cover 15% to 20% of the shares.

The same Bloomberg report said Citigroup will coordinate international retail sales in Australia, Canada, Japan, the UK, Switzerland and some EEA countries, and Anthropic has not confirmed either bank's role.

Coverage of the report noted that individual investors usually get 5% to 10% of an IPO.
The S-1 backs the idea without naming anyone, saying the lead banks may allocate shares to underwriters for sale to their online brokerage customers.
Robinhood, Fidelity, Schwab and SoFi aren't among the 22 underwriters on the prospectus cover, but banks can invite brokers to help distribute shares.

Robinhood's chief financial officer, Shiv Verma, told Bloomberg TV on November 2 that Robinhood is competing for an allocation, calling it "a food fight out there," but no allocation has been confirmed as of November 5, 2026.

SoFi, Fidelity, Charles Schwab and E*Trade have no confirmed role in the Anthropic IPO either; Bloomberg mentioned them only as brokers whose clients received SpaceX IPO shares.

How IPO Access Works at US Brokers

US brokers in an IPO let eligible customers request shares at the offer price, lock in the order around pricing, and wait for an allocation.
These programs serve US residents, and their rules can change, so check your broker's page before the deal opens.

Robinhood

Robinhood's IPO Access lets eligible customers submit a conditional offer to buy, or COB, fully covered by buying power.
Retirement, joint, custodial and managed accounts, plus multiple individual investing accounts, can't take part for now.
Your COB becomes binding when a confirmation window of at least 60 minutes closes, the day before the IPO.
Allocation is random or proportional, and there are no fees beyond the IPO price.
Selling within 30 days counts as flipping and may block you from IPO Access for 60 days.

This describes Robinhood's general IPO program; Robinhood says it is competing for ANT shares, but no allocation had been announced as of November 5, 2026.

Fidelity

Fidelity reserves IPOs for brokerage customers with at least $25,000 in certain assets, checked weekly across retail accounts with the same name and Social Security number.
You also need $2,000 in a brokerage account to submit an indication of interest, or IOI.
After pricing, usually after 7 p.m. ET, you must confirm the IOI online, or you won't be eligible for shares.
Shares go to customers ranked by their assets and revenue at Fidelity, never more than they requested.
Selling within 15 calendar days of the first trade bars you from IPOs for 180 days, then 365 days, then permanently.

This describes Fidelity's general IPO program; whether it receives ANT shares has not been announced as of November 5, 2026.

Charles Schwab

Schwab requires certain investment objectives, enough knowledge and experience, and a minimum liquid net worth that its IPO guide doesn't specify.
You complete an Eligibility Questionnaire for each IPO and submit a Conditional Offer to Purchase, or COTP, generally by 4 p.m. ET the business day before expected pricing.
After pricing, you must affirm it before 7 a.m. ET the next morning.
Allocations are limited and not guaranteed, and any anti-flipping rule depends on the offering.

This describes Schwab's general IPO program; whether it receives ANT shares has not been announced as of November 5, 2026.

SoFi

SoFi offers IPO investing to eligible SoFi Invest members; see SoFi's eligibility page for the current requirements.
Its IPO investing page says Active Invest members request shares through an indication of interest and warns that many investors may get none.

How to Buy the Anthropic IPO, Step by Step

Buying the Anthropic IPO through a US broker runs in a fixed order: request, pricing, lock-in, allocation, then the first trade.

Anthropic IPO allocation is decided by the underwriters and then by each broker, so a request is not an order and you may receive fewer shares than you asked for, or none.

  • Request: a conditional order, called a COB at Robinhood, an IOI at Fidelity and SoFi, and a COTP at Schwab.
  • Pricing: the underwriters set the final price, usually the evening before trading.
  • Lock-in: Fidelity and Schwab need a confirmation after pricing; a Robinhood request turns binding when its window closes.
  • Allocation: your broker divides its shares, usually the morning of listing day.
  • First trade: ANT opens on Nasdaq, often hours after the opening bell.
From request to first trade, with an illustrative example. Source: broker IPO pages, as of October 29, 2026.
In an illustrative case, you request 20 shares and get 5, so you pay the IPO price for 5 and can't sell until ANT trades.
Sell inside your broker's flipping window, and you risk missing the next IPO you want.

When Can I Buy Anthropic Stock? Requests, Pricing and the First Trade

When can I buy Anthropic stock? There are three moments: you can request IPO shares once a broker opens requests after the price range and the roadshow begin, IPO-price shares are allocated after pricing, and anyone can buy ANT on Nasdaq from the first trade; as of November 5, 2026, none of these dates is set.

SEC rules require a company that filed confidentially to make its registration statement public at least 15 days before the roadshow, which puts the earliest start around November 10, 2026.

Anthropic filed Amendment No. 1 to the S-1 on November 2, 2026, but it still left the price range and the share count blank, so the request window hasn't opened.

The amendment's third-quarter figures are broken down in Anthropic's Q3 2026 results.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Anthropic aims to debut as soon as the week of November 16, 2026, according to Yahoo Finance, and Anthropic hasn't confirmed that date.

Fidelity and Schwab both offer IPO alerts, which help you catch the request window.

Buying the Anthropic IPO Outside the US

Outside the US, the direct route is a local offering: the S-1 lists public offerings in Australia, Canada, certain European Economic Area countries, Japan, Switzerland and the UK.
In some EEA countries, retail investors will be offered shares through a separate European prospectus that a national regulator is expected to approve.
Anthropic doesn't currently plan to list in those markets, so shares bought there will still trade on Nasdaq as ANT.

In Japan, Bloomberg reported on November 2 that Anthropic is seeking up to about $3.5 billion from local investors as part of its US IPO, with Mizuho managing the Japanese offering and MUFG Morgan Stanley, Rakuten Securities and SBI Securities expected to take part, which Anthropic hasn't confirmed.

Ask your own broker whether it is taking part in your country.

Search data shows investors pairing the Anthropic IPO with Trade Republic in Europe, Wealthsimple in Canada and CommSec in Australia.

Those searches show interest, not participation, so wait for each broker's own announcement.

Where IPO Access Isn't Available: MEXC Pre-IPO Launchpad

MEXC Pre-IPO Launchpad is a mirror credits event: eligible users subscribe with assets on MEXC and get credits that reflect the economic performance of Anthropic shares, not the shares.
MEXC doesn't buy IPO shares for you, and taking part isn't an investment in securities.
You need Advanced KYC, can't use borrowed funds, and can't join from market maker, institutional or sub-accounts.
Only eligible users in supported regions can join; users in restricted countries or regions can't.
Credits follow the actual allocation ratio, and unallocated funds return automatically.
After Anthropic's first trading day ends, MEXC settles the credits at that day's closing price.
If the listing is delayed or canceled, refunds follow the event rules.
Subscription and selling fees apply, so read the Anthropic IPO subscription FAQ before you join.

IPO Access vs Pre-IPO Routes vs Buying After Listing

There are three ways to invest in the Anthropic IPO, and the key difference is what you hold: IPO access and buying after listing give you ANT shares, while pre-IPO routes give indirect exposure.

IPO access through a broker
  • What you get: ANT shares in your account.
  • Price basis: the IPO price.
  • Requirements: an eligible account at a participating broker.
  • Timing: request in the roadshow, receive on listing day.
  • Main risk: a tiny or zero allocation.
Pre-IPO routes
  • What you get: usually fund units, futures contracts or mirror credits, not ANT shares.
  • Price basis: each product's own price; Launchpad settles at ANT's first-day close.
  • Requirements: vary; Launchpad needs Advanced KYC in a supported region.
  • Timing: before listing.
  • Main risk: no share ownership, plus fees and listing delays.
Our guide to the ways to buy Anthropic stock before the IPO covers each one.
Buying after listing
  • What you get: ANT shares bought on Nasdaq.
  • Price basis: the market price, which can open far from the IPO price.
  • Requirements: any broker with US stock access.
  • Timing: from the first trade.
  • Main risk: a first-day premium and early insider selling.
Under the S-1's lock-up period terms, some insiders can sell up to 10% of their locked-up shares on day one, with more freed on days 27, 48, 62 and 76.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only if Robinhood gets ANT shares; it says it is competing for an allocation, but none was confirmed as of November 5, 2026, and after listing you can buy Anthropic stock on Robinhood normally.

Can I buy the Anthropic IPO on Fidelity?

Only if Fidelity gets ANT shares, which wasn't announced as of November 5, 2026; you'd then need its asset minimums and an online IOI confirmation.

Can I buy the Anthropic IPO on Charles Schwab or SoFi?

How do I get Anthropic IPO shares at the IPO price?
Request them through an eligible broker that receives shares and lock in on time; if you miss out, “Is Anthropic stock public yet?” covers buying after listing.

Can I buy the Anthropic IPO on Trade Republic?

Only if Trade Republic takes part in one of the EEA retail offerings the S-1 describes, so wait for its own announcement before the roadshow.

Can I join the Anthropic IPO on MEXC?
MEXC doesn't take part in the IPO itself, but eligible users in supported regions can join MEXC Pre-IPO Launchpad for mirror credits, not shares.

The Bottom Line

For most people, the plan is simple: get an eligible account ready, turn on IPO alerts, and decide how many shares you actually want before the roadshow.
Otherwise, buying after the first trade or a pre-IPO product are the options left, each with its own risks.

Trading crypto assets is high-risk; prices can be highly volatile and you may lose everything you put in. No security measure removes all risk, and MEXC does not promise principal protection or absolute security. This article is not investment advice.
