Vest Labs Raises $13 Million Seed Round Led by Portal Ventures
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Vest Labs has completed a $13 million seed round led by Portal Ventures, with some executives from Citadel Securities, BlackRock, and KKR participating in a personal capacity. The company did not disclose its post-money valuation. Vest Labs provides eligible traders with company capital to trade perpetual contracts in live markets around the clock, with traders able to retain up to 80% of profits. The funding will be used to develop a mobile app, expand its current 22-person team, and add more assets for 24/7 trading. As of late September, 26% of the platform’s roughly 27,000 traders had received cash payouts.
GSR Commits $100 Million to Launch On-Chain Vault Business With Hare and Turtle
According to CoinDesk, crypto trading firm GSR has committed $100 million, mainly through credit facilities, to fund a new business called Hare and will work with liquidity platform Turtle to create and manage on-chain vaults. Hare initially plans to launch vaults supported by Aave, allowing investors to earn returns through major U.S. dollar stablecoins and Paxos tokenized gold products, while GSR provides anchor liquidity. The model combines institutional trading capital, DeFi lending protocols, and tokenized gold assets, expanding the use of on-chain vaults in yield management and institutional asset allocation.
U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chair Says SEC and CFTC Crypto Actions Are Insufficient, Calls for Passage of CLARITY Act
According to Odaily Planet Daily, U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chair French Hill said current digital asset regulatory actions lack the long-term stability that congressional legislation can provide and expressed hope that Congress will pass the CLARITY Act before the new Congress takes office in 2027. The SEC and CFTC have already proposed related rulemaking measures, but Hill said those actions are not sufficient substitutes for formal legislation. After the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act last month, the regulatory path remains uncertain, while the SEC and CFTC currently have a combined seven leadership vacancies.
Injective Releases New White Paper, Positioning Itself as a Layer 1 for Institutional Finance and Asset Tokenization
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Injective has released its first fully rewritten white paper since the original version in December 2018, repositioning the network as a Layer 1 focused on institutional finance and asset tokenization across the full lifecycle from issuance and trading to settlement. Tangem Launches Physical Visa Card, First Batch Limited to 5,000 Cards With About 20 Countries Excluded From Delivery
According to Cointelegraph, crypto wallet provider Tangem has launched its first physical Visa card, supporting in-store and online purchases as well as ATM withdrawals, with the initial batch limited to 5,000 cards. Users can fund the card directly from a self-custody wallet and move funds back to the wallet if the card is suspended or closed. More than 40% of Tangem Pay payments come from Latin America and more than 30% from the United States. The physical card currently cannot be delivered to about 20 countries and regions due to KYC, sanctions, banking rules, and issuing compliance requirements. Eligible purchases may also receive 1% to 2% USDC cashback.
NEAR to Expand near.com Fiat and Tokenized Stock Functions as Dependence on Centralized Exchanges Declines
According to Odaily Planet Daily, NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin said that as on-chain tools continue to improve, users no longer need to rely on centralized exchanges for some crypto activities. near.com currently integrates cross-chain spot trading, tokenized stocks, yield products, and perpetual contracts into a single interface and plans to add more fiat-related functions, including bank withdrawals, tax transaction records, and selective disclosure for private transactions. Trump Family-Backed WLFI Partners With Mesh to Bring USD1 to Major Online Platforms This Quarter
According to Cointelegraph, World Liberty Financial said during a stablecoin panel at Token2049 that it plans to work with payment infrastructure provider Mesh to bring USD1 to major online businesses, with the service expected to launch this quarter. USD1 holders will be able to use the stablecoin across Mesh’s merchant network. USD1 is currently issued by BitGo and backed by reserves including cash, U.S. government money market funds, and other cash equivalents, with a market capitalization of about $4.45 billion. The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency conditionally approved WLFI’s plan to establish a national trust bank in August, after which WLFI plans to take over USD1 issuance itself.

Authorities restricted approximately $52 million in related crypto assets in a single day. Users should avoid sending funds to designated wallets solely based on chat groups, unsolicited messages, or “high-yield investment opportunities,” and should not connect wallets or sign approvals on unverified websites. If abnormal asset outflows are detected, users should immediately stop further transfers, preserve chat records and on-chain transaction hashes, and report the incident through official platform or law-enforcement channels.
