Bloomberg’s Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas posted on social media that ETFs can mirror core operational benefits of direct cryptocurrency exposure, highlighting instant access, an extremely low cost profile (competitive expense ratios), robust liquidity and the capacity to generate yield through securities lending mechanisms.

In the same post he noted that ETFs may offer additional investor protections, pointing to a formal regulatory framework, custodial controls and dedicated client support as differentiators when comparing regulated ETF structures to direct crypto holdings.
