Former MAGA influencer declares Turning Point USA 'dead in the water'

Former MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair declared Turning Point USA a "disaster".

"Turning Point is dead in the water," St. Clair said. "I think it's a disaster, I really do."

During an episode on The Daily Beast Podcast with host Joanna Coles, St. Clair criticized those "doing these things in the name of Charlie," specifically condemning White House aide Stephen Miller's memorial speech as "horrific" and "akin to what you would hear from Nazis."

Nearly a year after Kirk's assassination, St. Clair, 27, also spoke about Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk.

St. Clair suggested she "take some time with the kids."

"It's a very difficult position to be in when you're grieving, and you're raising children, to now be the public face of this. I think she needs to take time off," she added.

St. Clair previously separated from Turning Point USA following disagreements with Kirk, including disputes over birth control and his views on women, according to St.Clair.

She also questioned aspects of the investigation into Kirk's death, "I do think there are more questions that should be asked about the investigation about how Charlie died, about how certain things were conducted. I think those are important questions to ask."
