Trump White House panics over 4th of July party crowd size

Following the sparse attendance at last week's Great American State Fair rally, Trump administration officials are privately concerned about low turnout at an event scheduled for the 4th of July.

According to CNN, officials are worried no one will show up, despite President Donald Trump promoting it as the "most unforgettable birthday party any country has ever seen."

CNN previously reported Trump was infuriated by the lackluster crowd at his rally, prompting staff to fear Independence Day might be an even more visible failure.

Organizers face significant obstacles, including a heatwave, augmented security measures, and a schedule extending well into Saturday night.

A Trump insider told CNN, "I do not understand why we are doing this so late."

"I'm really not sure who thought this was a good idea," the source lamented.

To improve optics, organizers implemented a free ticketing system for front-stage viewing, though officials acknowledge many ticket holders likely won't attend, CNN explained.

Additional deterrents include prohibitions on coolers and a fireworks display not beginning until nearly midnight during a forecasted 100-degree heat wave.
