AI stocks sold off hard on October 15, yet the contracts that actually got signed that day name no price. Venture Global signed power and grid frame agreements with GE Vernova and Baker Hughes covering up to 16 combined-cycle power islands of 720MW each, roughly 11.5GW at the cap, with a plan to supply up to 10GW of compute by the end of 2034 to data centers beside sites it owns or controls. Neither agreement disclosed a value. The only large number of the day came from TSMC: $46.7B of third-quarter revenue and fourth-quarter guidance up about 58% year on year. Six items landed on five of the six layers, with Layer 4 Memory scoring none.

Cohere signs a letter of intent to buy vulnerability hunter AISLE
M&A | Under review | Reuters (via WTAQ) 2026/10/15
What was signed is a letter of intent rather than a definitive agreement, with no price and no closing date; AISLE says its AI found more than 500 new bugs in widely used software in its first year.

Huang says frontier labs are a quarter to 30% of Nvidia compute
Remarks | Completed | Benzinga (BG2 podcast) 2026/10/15
He said new orders arrive almost weekly and daily, but the three constraints he named were electricity shortages, unfinished data halls and component capacity, none of them the chip itself.

TSMC posts $46.7B in Q3 revenue and guides Q4 up about 58% YoY
Remarks | Completed | TSMC earnings call transcript (Investing.com) 2026/10/15
Revenue rose 16.2% QoQ with HPC at 68% of the mix, fourth-quarter guidance is $52.3B to $54.3B, and annual N2 family capacity will more than double in 2027.

DigiCo signs a 71MW 15-year data center contract in Sydney
Contract | Completed | Telecompaper 2026/10/15
The tenant is an unnamed global technology company, 20MW of the 71MW is existing capacity reallocated, SYD1's planned 88MW is now fully contracted, and the rent was not disclosed.
Every GPU is now billing as QumulusAI's $71.9M Blackwell contract lands
Contract | Completed | QumulusAI press release (Business Wire) 2026/10/15
Every GPU under the three-year agreement is now in production and billing and cumulative signed value reached $523.4M, but the $71.9M itself was disclosed in an earlier period.

Venture Global signs frames with two vendors for up to 16 power islands
Contract | Completed | Baker Hughes press release 2026/10/15
Up to 16 power islands of 720MW each, roughly 11.5GW at the cap, aimed at 10GW of compute by the end of 2034, with neither the first purchase order nor the first permit filings yet in place.
3.Deal Value This Issue
Counted deal value this issue is $0: none of the three signed contracts disclosed a price, and the Cohere deal only reached letter-of-intent stage. Two items make up the $62,072M excluded. TSMC's 2026 capital expenditure of $60B to $64B is capex rather than a transaction, shown at the $62,000M midpoint. QumulusAI's $71.9M was disclosed in an earlier period and only moved into billing now, so counting it again would inflate the cross-period figure.
4.Today's Takeaway
Venture Global's 16 power islands are a capacity reservation rather than a generation order: the frames are signed, the first purchase order is only expected by the end of 2026, deliveries run from 2028 to 2034, and the first permit applications have not been filed. Counted deal value this issue is $0, with $62,072M excluded, of which TSMC's 2026 capex is taken at the midpoint and is not a transaction, while QumulusAI's $71.9M was disclosed earlier and only moved into billing now. The constraints Jensen Huang named that day were power, unfinished data halls and component capacity, not chips.
How to use this next time: when a headline says a company signed N gigawatts, look for three things first, namely whether it is a frame agreement or a purchase order, when the first order lands, and whether permits have been filed. Venture Global has none of the three in place yet, and the power islands only start arriving in 2028. An undisclosed value does not mean a small one, nor a large one, and under our rule it simply does not count.
